This week, the Butterscotch budino, sea salt & rosemary pine nut cookies at Chef Nancy Silverton’s Pizzeria Mozza in Los Angeles, California.  A staple since the opening of the restaurant five years ago, this tiny dessert has won the praise of every foodie, blogger, critic, and discerning diner in this city and beyond.  And for good reason.  We devoured it during a lunch visit, which may very well offer one of the city’s best dining bargains, as well – wine, pizza and dessert for a mere $20. (This deal is offered during lunch Monday – Thursday, at the wine/pizza bar only.) A la cart, the baby budino will set you back 10 bucks.  This is an occasional splurge that is worth every. single. calorie.
