GONE PINK FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Osteria La Buca Paints The House PINK
In Observance of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Owner Commits ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of October Proceeds
If you drove by 5210 Melrose this weekend, you might have experienced quite a traffic jam.
We apologize. And now we are delighted to explain why hundreds of cars slowed (or stopped completely!) to ask, “Why are you painting it PINK?”
Osteria La Buca owner Graham Snyder has committed his iconic Melrose restaurant to one month of consciousness- and fund-raising. Teaming up with Susan G Komen For The cure, we have literally “Painted The House Pink!” Although our new color proved immediately effective in drawing attention to the cause, Snyder and his team are taking significant and sincere steps of commitment to partner with Komen.
For the month of October, Snyder has committed 100% of the restaurant’s proceeds to Susan G Komen For The Cure. Yes, you read that correctly. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT! The restaurant will feature a PINK menu, with healthy dining options and a selection of PINKdrinks. These items will change weekly, opening with a Pink Sangria and a Healthful (and delicious!) vegetable and antioxidant- rich flatbread. Those offerings, however, serve as a means of promoting conversation with our guests – all menu items, food and beverage are included in the Komen program. In addition, Snyder has offered up the venue to the charity for meetings, dinners, and fundraisers throughout the month. La Buca will also offer complimentary food delivery service to patients and their families undergoing breast cancer treatment at Cedars Sanai.
“Why Pink?” you ask? Please visit Osteria La Buca’s WHY PINK link for more answers. Allow it to inspire you to do great things this month, as well!
